Tjiwarl Rangers

We are currently recruiting for Tjiwarl rangers and a lead ranger to work from the Leinster office.

Ranger opportunity includes:

  • Paid ranger work on country
  • Many casual positions
  • Working outside on Tjiwarl country
  • On the job training provided
  • Men and women needed

About you:

  • Good level of fitness
  • Willingness to learn from elders and new ranger skills
  • Drivers licence preferred
  • Drugs and alcohol not tolerated on ranger trips
  • Able to camp on country for 7 to 12 days at a time

Lead ranger opportunity includes:

  • Full-time position
  • Paid ranger work on Tjiwarl country
  • Assisting with ranger facility management
  • Working outside on Tjiwarl country
  • On the job training provided

About you:

  • Leadership skills
  • Good level of fitness
  • Good communication skills
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Ability to obtain first aid certification
  • Must have drivers licence
  • Ability to obtain Working with Children Check
  • Any member can apply

Cultural Awareness Training

Cultural Awareness training provides non-Aboriginal people with an appreciation and understanding of Tjiwarl Culture and the importance of showing respect for Country and Culture when interacting with the Tjiwarl Native Title Holders.

Tjiwarl Office Trainee

Tjiwarl Aboriginal Corporation (Tjiwarl AC) is offering a paid traineeship for a Tjiwarl member. The trainee will be located in the Perth office of the Trust.
Opportunity includes:

  • Paid office work
  • Fixed term part-time positions
  • Based in Perth CBD in the office of the trust
  • Flexible working hours
  • Completion of Certificate III in business
  • Some course work and study out of office time required

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide support to all Tjiwarl members calling regarding member programs
  • Data entry
  • General office administration
  • Other duties as required

Full training will be provided.
